ASUU Strike Update Today: Academic Staff Union of University extend strike by 12 weeks

The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has extend the strike action by 12 weeks starting from 12; 01 am on Monday, 2022.
The President of ASUU, Emmanuel Asodeke announce the extension of the strike in a press statement. He said that the decision was made after the National Executive Council emergency meeting that was held in the secretariat in the University of Abuja.
Asodeke say that the extension of the stricke was neccessary as the "so call" goverment intervention to end the strike action so far has not made any diffrence and goverment refuse to live up to it's responsibilities to the issues that was raised at the 2020 FGN/ASUUforcing the union to roll over the strike to 12 weeks to give goverment time to satisfactorily resolve all the outstanding issues.
